Micron kit for Vortex XL filters.
This is a conversion kit that allows the use of Marineland Micron Cartridges with your Vortex model XL filter. The kit includes the adapter fitting, cartridge plug, micron cartridge and a flexible turbulence tube to replace the standard rigid tube. The rigid cartridge is ideal for extended use of the diatom filter. Use with or without diatom powder. Using diatom powder is recommended to extend the life of the cartridge. This setup requires less powder, and the replacement cartridges are less expensive than the OEM filter bags. Shipping is free in the continental USA.
